Several changes have been scheduled to take effect on August 1, 2021 (unless otherwise noted). Service adjustments will be made on many routes in response to changing ridership due to the pandemic. Routes with lower ridership will have service levels reduced, and some routes with increasing ridership will have service levels improved. 

Service reliability improvements

Service reliability improvements – the program for continuous monitoring and improvement of schedules to better match observed operating conditions will result in new schedules for the following routes:

  • 28 Bayview South
  • 30 High Park
  • 37 Islington
  • 50 Burnhamthorpe (effective August 3, 2021)
  • 52 Lawrence West
  • 55 Warren Park
  • 60 Steeles West
  • 64 Main
  • 65 Parliament
  • 95 York Mills
  • 120 Calvington
  • 300 Bloor-Danforth
  • 952 Lawrence West Express (effective August 3, 2021)
  • 953 Steeles East Express (effective August 3, 2021)

Service level changes – pandemic service response to match capacity to ridership demand
35 Jane (effective August 3, 2021)
Weekday early morning service will be supplemented with additional trips. Additional northbound trips will operate before 6 a.m. from Lawrence Avenue to Pioneer Village Station.

60 Steeles West
Service will be added in the afternoon peak period to reduce observed crowding issues west of Pioneer Village Station. Service will increase from every 5 minutes to every 4 minutes. Early morning service will also be supplemented with additional trips. Four additional westbound trips will operate between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. from Dufferin Street to Martin Grove Road. 

Schedule adjustment

86 Scarborough (effective August 3, 2021)
Schedules on 86 Scarborough will be adjusted Monday to Friday to improve service. There will be a minor change in service levels. Late evening trips to the Toronto Zoo will continue to run as a service between the Zoo and Meadowvale Loop. 

Construction-related changes:

York Mills Station bus terminal temporary closure (effective mid-August 2021)
Construction by York Mills Centre, which is the commercial complex above York Mills Station, will require the temporary closure of the bus terminal. Construction is expected to last three months. During the construction, buses will divert to a temporary bus terminal set up in the parking lot located at the northwest corner of Yonge Street and Wilson Avenue. There will be no change to bus schedules.

The 95 York Mills, 96 Wilson, 115 Silver Hills, 122 Graydon Hall, 165 Weston Rd North, 995 York Mills Express and 996 Wilson Express will utilize the temporary terminal. The remaining routes, 78 St Andrews and 97 Yonge, will serve York Mills Station on street.
Royal York Station bus terminal temporary closure
The bus terminal at Royal York Station will be closed for four weeks to accommodate remedial construction work for the Easier Access project. The following bus routes will be scheduled to serve on-street stops at Royal York Road and Bloor Street:
