The TTC’s Easier Access Program is making subway stations accessible. The TTC will be working on Bay Station accessibility. Construction at Bay Station began August, 2019 and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2020.

This work will include:

  • Barrier-free path from the main entrance to all levels of the station including installation of:
    •  One elevator to access eastbound and westbound platforms
    • PRESTO-enabled accessible fare gates (already installed)
    • Automatic sliding station entry doors 
    • Improved signage
    • CCTV – Security cameras along the accessible pathway

Learn more about how we’re making transit more accessible with TTC’s Easier Access program. All TTC Easier Access projects are reviewed by ACAT (Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit).

August 14, 2019 – Bay Station Easier Access Pop-Up

On August 14, 2019, TTC staff held a pop-up at Bloor Station to share information on the start of Easier Access construction at Bay Station.
